just poured 1ltr coke in my stereo from McDONALDS!!!!!!!! DIDNT WORK TOOK it out dryed in airing cupboard and put sprayed hot water on it completlydried it out it now works A1 even on dash controls. Dont rush it.:eek:

Thank you, today weve had it back no joy. BUT i took it to a small garage they got it right first time, as i said it was fueling, the injector pump is on its way out but it also had a blocked injector so £20 on fuel additive, £40 on trickery now drives spot on !!!!!! i will take this further...

What the service manager said is that they will replace old one foc and if it is still doing it they may try and sort problem ,that to me is admitting blame of some description, also they gave me number of company who got boxes and who did job. Not a lawyer or anything but common sense dictates...

Agreed but i took it to them to tell me what was wrong with it as i had no idea, although they did not carry out work they did diagnose problem which i got fixed by qaulified people/firm. They did draw money off me AND give me a write up with "TRACED FAULT TO EXCESSIVE FREE PLAY IN TRANSFER...

Is it juddering cause ive just had simalar probs its like platting fog with these probs what i wouldnt give for a decent honest mechanic. bet clutch etc was £350ish.

Hi guys n girls, does anyone know anywhere in bucks,berks area that could fit a transfer box n gearbox for me.? I have a second hand one in boot now, and am prepared to do oily work but it is so heavy i dont think i have tools 4 job any ideas would be great. Andy

cheers all but took it to stratstones today they said transfer box had gonE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! got a 2nd hand 1 on ebay now to fit new gearbox n tx box great joy.

have you got a stabilizer bar on? what speed were you doing? van size wieght? packing of van ? there are loads of things that affect stability. packing the van correctly will help a lot. oh and keeping to 60 to stay in front of truckers, and be polite to them they speak to each other, CONVOY STYLE.
