Will brake pipes fit from another model

Personally, I wouldn't even attempt this. Most local independant tyre and brake specialists will fit you a new pipe in no time, probably for less than you would pay for the pipe, fittings, and flare kit.

    How to move a hover-drover?

I am envisaging getting hold of a couple of beams, wood or steel, a bit wider than the car. Fasten them to the chassis underneath. Now look at what the transport is going to be. If it's a lorry, then it will need a crane or suchlike to raise it high enough - and similar at the other end. If...

    Crabbing

Sounds like VCU to me as well - I had that on my softdash as well, in 2012. Got a refurb from this guy; Home - Bell Engineering Cost £165 I know it says Freelander bits, but give him a ring. Not a difficult job, though I left it to my mechanic as it is obviously much easier on a ramp.

200tdi radiator, will the cheap one fit???

When my Softdash needed a new rad I checked with LR, who of course wanted silly money and couldn't say when I would get one. I went to a local rad firm, who quoted less for a clone, but a HUGE amount for re-coring. I went on eBay, got one (new, clone) for less that £100. When it arrived (48...

Painted Galv - long term effect?

It is perfectly normal to paint on galvanizing, and will work fine providing it is properly prepared. There are 2 options - either the wash, or leave it out of doors for 6 months.

Broken transfur box, still ok to drive?!

If it drives on the rear but not on the front, would it be a good idea to remove the front prop shaft, thus reducing the risk of further damage to anything wrong at the front?

    new road tax refund amounts

First thing is the refund is calculated at the annual rate, even though you paid the six month rate. Second, they do get it wrong - last year I had a further refund to correct their error. Quite how they manage to get something so simple wrong is inexplicable. Get back to them and say you...

    Reclaimed bricks

Try joining Freecycle - I've had bricks, paving slabs, concrete blocks, tin roof..... Just for the trouble of collecting them. As for how many, just weigh a brick and divide it into your load allowance, and there you are.

OK, You've got the kit - now put the car on the drive, jack it up, take a wheel off and put it back on again. Seriously, you do not want to be doing this for the first time in the rain at the side of a busy road. You may well have done it before on a smaller car, but now you have a Landy, and...

Back to the original question. A bottle jack will certainly do the job, is the lightest option, and the cheapest. But it can be difficult to place, and more unstable in less than ideal conditions. A trolley jack is heavier to lift out of the vehicle, but easier to position, as it is on wheels...

Land Rover Theft - Check Your Social Media Settings

In a similar vein, I recently got birthday greetings over Facebook, and had to tell the kind sender that, no, I was not born on 1/1/1900. As banks love to use this info as security question, no way do I put it on such a public platform!

Help me find a seat installer / solution (too in love with our 110 to move on!!)

Could this be done by means of something like an internal roll cage? Then the mounting point could be on the roll bar up by the roof - out of the way and firmly attached.
