Why don't you keep the diesel and treat it to a vnt turbo, full width intercooler, port the manifolds, De cat it and tweek the pump. That way you can get the best of both worlds! The parts will always have a resale value if you get sick of the diesel.

Perfectly common with a jap diesel but only ever happens to mine if I have spent the previous week throwing money at it and offered it some of my blood and skin.

Only a little thing bit make sure the fuel filter is sealed properly might need the seal wetting with a drop of diesel or nipping up a bit
