    BEST Td5 Water Pump?

i hear he best water pump is Land Rover branded, even though it costs around 4 times a pro flow one. a friend's proflow pump only lasted a year so i can see the association with s*tpart

Disco 2 best place for fuel pressure sender on td5

thought about that, its a pretty easy solution but im worried the location change would affect the performance of the temperature sensor, even though its just 1 cm or so, not sure if it would have any effect

Disco 2 squeaking/grinding brakes when warm

i have noticed that the brakes on my d2 squeak really loudly, almost like they are grinding. they only do it when warm. Things I tried: 1. i tried to fit some new quality EBC brake pads fitted. I have had the same before and never had squeaking until recently. 2. the pistons do not feel...

Disco 2 best place for fuel pressure sender on td5

yes that was my first time trying to tackle this. I had gone for a nitrous adapter but the closest i could find was 5/16 connectoir which is not exactly 7.89mm the td5 has and obviously it leaks

Disco 2 best place for fuel pressure sender on td5

well the logical reason is to get data. a slight reduction in pressure might indicate a failing pump, failing filter or valve, failing fpr and even a problem in the connection (earth) way before you are stuck at the side waiting for the recovery truck. as i overland that would obviously be a...

Disco 2 best place for fuel pressure sender on td5

i would like to fit a pressure gauge somewhere in the fuel system for diagnostic purposes, try to identify a failing pump or regulator before it gets too bad. If I understand correctly,in the diagram below i should have best results if i fit it along the green pipe between the pump and the...

    Disco 2 Stubborn 3 amigos!!

yeah, doesnt look right, these are relatively new hubs , why would it touch and is it something that i can fix? also apart from genuine hubs, are there any hubs which are better than the britpart oem ones? cant seem to find genuine ones anymore and they were about 1000eur last time i saw them!

    Disco 2 Stubborn 3 amigos!!

just a little update on this, i have not technically fully resolved this as I still get 3 amigos come up randomly every few weeks. im wondering if the marks on the abs sensors are 'normal' though. this is from a functioning sensor. also i have always installed hubs which come with the abs...

Half shaft seals failing repeatedly Discovery 2

got the same issue, wondering how you got along, the the NAK sealfix the issue? i think its either the seals or the swivel hub alignment is wrong. problem is the tool to align it costs around 1000eur and my local land rover specialist doesnt have it :(

Disco 2 Front hub/axle seal leaking

passenger side has been fine for years. driver side starts leaking after a month or so. i have not notices any cracks and i even tried to put a tiny smear of rtv between the axle housing and the seal. however, when i replace them they are not visibly destroyed as in the picture. that is why i...

Disco 2 Front hub/axle seal leaking

one thing that i did notice though is that the seals as shown in this thread look completely destroyed. in my case they leak a little fluid (not enough that i have to refill frequently but it does wet the lower ball joint, caliper and inside of the tyre) and the seal itself looks intact
