    Aux input on a L322 - 2002 Vogue

Hi all, got the lead, however this seems to rely on the head unit(?) being post 10/02, in that these have a AUX setting, which I can't seem to see on mine. Interestingly the CD changer has a similar lead ( mines been playing up so long I've just removed it so both the 6 and 3 lead plug are...

Replacing the PCV Valve and thats when it went a bit wrong....!!!

Just a quick update based on about 10 mins sitting in the car looking at cd changer leads with the engine running. My idle has gone down to around 500 rpm. It was definitely more than this before the PCV was changed, around 7/800. Anyone else had this as a result?

Replacing the PCV Valve and thats when it went a bit wrong....!!!

If your car is LPG free, then maybe it'll be a bit more straight forward - less pipes. Just make sure you have the long thin hose and small seperator hose available, if its the first time your vehicles been done, I think you'll need them. The two lower torx bolts on the PCV are fiddly, try and...

    Aux input on a L322 - 2002 Vogue

A quick answer for the ipod is a cassette adapter for the Vogue, mine works OK, sound quality is OK and at least I dont have to cart around CD's. But I was interested in the lead Rewmer has mentioned so I'll look into that.

Stored Pressure in the Cooling System...??

I had a problem with the coolant cap - it ended up that I hadn't bled the coolant tank ( the cross headed screw next to the fill), this produced a weep around the cap. I think this is similar to the P38 rad bleed hose - in that this should be blown through to stop an airlock? As an aside, my...

    lpg install woe..ideas?

Just an Idea but if your batch firing the injectors - can you easiliy move the suspect one to the other side and see if the problem moves? The it should be just a replacement? As long as the spuds and lpg lines are OK and not clogged?

Replacing the PCV Valve and thats when it went a bit wrong....!!!

Just done this today with the aid of Saints and Deasy's article. Just to say, removal of the intake is a definite. I wouldn't have completed it with it in place. However, if any of you are looking to replace the oil seperator be aware that the bottom hose is very hard to remove and reconnect...

Installing an Alpine CHA S634CD Changer

Hi All, has anyone actually managed to install this unit in their L322? I've a 02 with DSP and I picked up the cd changer ( quick fix as I'm never in the car long enough to require Ipod set up, however the same 6 albums can get tedious), but I can't seem to find a connecting lead to take the...

Rear hub bushings - upper and lower

Thanks for the advice Matt, is it easier to depressurize the suspension? I've had a problem getting the car up in the air enough to take the wheels off, do you have any suggestions for this as my last attempt included a 2" thick block on the trolley jack under the trailing arm which obviously...

Rear hub bushings - upper and lower

Thanks Matt, yes I was talking about the upper and lower bushes, with the off set bolt washers for setting up the geometry, these upper bushes actually move about 2-3 mm back to front when a rotational force is applied. Guess they need doing.

    4.6 Head Gaskets

Henrik, IMHO I'd change the head gaskets while you've got it on the pallet, everything is much easier to get at, just make sure it can't swing round ( I use a 24" bar to get the head bolts loose) as you disassemble. The benefit of this is that you can pretty much get to everything. If you are...

Rear hub bushings - upper and lower

Hi All, been reading the various threads on the replacement of these bushes, but just before I go ordering a load of parts, with my car if you apply a rotational force to the disc back plate the top bush moves back and forward ! I take it they're not meant to do this, or are they? I...

    Noisy Tappets??

You might want to look at the state of your rocker shafts before going all out for a new cam. I've had V8 Rovers for years now and the shafts suffer from poor oiling and don't last. Substantial wear in them can lead to the Hyd Lifters not being able to compensate - hence tappet noises. General...

    14V - 1.4W T5 bulb/holder unit

Try Partslandrover on ebay - I got some from them a couple of years ago - failing that - try a s/h dash and swap what you need?

    Replacing oil valve stem seals

Phildog75, done this a couple of times now, wammers is right - get the heads off and its fairly straight forward, you'll need a good spring compressor. As you take the valves out ensure you keep the valves, springs, retainers and collets in order so you don't mix them up on rebuild. The old...

    Inertia switch wiring

Hi All, as promised, some photos of the installation. Photo 1 (2) is the modification to the Thor manifold, by removing the areas of webbing I managed to secure a route for the LPG pipes ( max 2 per hole) this kept them around 30cm the other ends of the pipes are on the spuds in the inlet...

Clarky 130 -I have tried to send you a PM about the leads, but nothing is coming up in the old sent box - could you please send details of the leads - price etc, for a 99 HSE with an alpine and the single amp in the rear. Thank you

    Inertia switch wiring

Hi All, car done and now running well on LPG. Thanks for all the help. Install was involved and luckily I had the time to think of where to put things without having to get her back on the road. Will sort out a few pictures which may give anyone who's thinking of it a few pointers - the Thor...

    Inertia switch wiring

john, good luck with the installation, its a bit fiddly to say the least, and I had the benefit of another car to look at. I'm not looking at getting it certified until the late part of next week, so I'll try and get some photos on once I know what I've done works, may help you out planning...
