i was going to cut a bit of plastic, from some left over upvc fascia board and spray it black. quite agree the cup holders are rubbish and make the dash look naff.

had the same on my td4 this summer. It turned out to be the main crankshaft pully. its got a rubber mount thingy inside and it packed up. It had to be the dearest pully of course.

my first freelander was a y plate es td4 manual, now got a 04 hse td4 auto. few more toys ie. harmon kardon speakers crap sub woofer imo. front fog lights, i think the leather on seats might be a better quality on the hse imo. apart from that not much between them.

mine also leaks on drivers side. have tried pushing a wire coat hanger down to clear the drain tubes but it wont go down and seems to stop, what do you do to clear the tubes out ?

anybody got the led push button switch if so is it light on or off for eco setting ?

got the teardrops on mine they are great for getting mud on your trousers and thats about all. when my old mum was alive i used to carry a plastic caravan step in the back and use that for getting her in and out just make sure you keep on foot on it so she dont move it and fall off.
