    Thanks for replies especially the pictures my memory is rubbish I recognised the layout when I saw it but had thought it was the petrol Freelander 1 that layout was applicable too.I have more problems now with two snapped Glow plugs to drill out! filter can wait until front end jobs are done.

    Above problem Too on mine but there is excessive play in the Arm Hinge which allows the Arm to twist and lift off the wiper. The door has been damaged by someone too and poorly repaired.Wiper arm is only £9.99 on E bay so cheap to try!
