the shocks thats on my truck atm seem to be the originals , they are 20 years old and have 100k miles on them .. could I expect this from any of the after market shocks I am considering take offs if I can find some .. seems wise to swap them out while everything is in bits .. but am happy...

yeah they do seem to be a good price .. Wondered if the more expensive ones warrant the extra money ?

Hi all , carrying on from getting new springs , I need new shocks to go with . I have the defender td5 , 110 1999 .. I am keeping with standard genuine landcover springs which were take offs .. I now need to order some shocks , I have been thinking about OME , Blistein , and super Gaz...

cheers guys , I managed to get a set of original land rover springs, take offs as new of I am prob going to fit the super gaz shocks

I thought these looked well priced , but was a bit concerned as people seem to give them a bad review .. but I thought for that price if they fail or sag out they are cheap enough to replace .. How have you found yours ? any issues

I'm pretty sure that im going to go with standard springs .. I just have to decide on make and where from .. ?

that looks nice ... I looked at the terrafirma , was thinking of the super gaz fitted with some standard duty springs .. Lol im expecting to be changing other bushes so have planed for this already ..

that chart is handy , its showing the front yellow and yellow , which would make sense on the right front .. I did think as I could see the yellow that they may have been Hd springs .

I made another thread with a few pics of the springs , as I was looking for advice on what I already had fitted .. I had a chat with a few places today and , everyone advised something different lol.. one place advised medium front and heavy rear , another said heavy all round, Im thinking...

looking again , at the springs , the rear of the front springs deff have black paint on them so just looks like a yellow strip on the front

I thought that it might have had heavy duty on the front , but the last two spring pics are of the rear of the springs and looks like traces of black paint .. could they of had a yellow stripe .. Im looking to use the truck for some trips away , we will be carrying some camping , climbing...
