Hi guys .. I have seen that people have fitted a straight pipe and removed the middle box , makes the td5 sound very beefy .. I was just wondering will this effect emissions in the uk .. Another reasons not to change to a straight pipe .. its on a defender 110 , td5 , 98-99 Cheers .. .

not fitted the new back door yet , But the one im ordering has glass in it , but not with the high mount light ... I may as a latter job just putt the wiring through the frame and retro fit the high mount light ...

just checked the clearance between my tyre and the radius arms on full lock with my current 235 tyres fitted, it looks that I have about 22mm clearance , would I be about right in thinking that if I opted for 265's the tyre would sit 15mm closer to the radius arms ? so in theory I should have a...

im really on the fence atm , with 235's or 265's , there seems like a lot of positives with sticking with the 235's with little benefit to opting for 265 other than looks ....

Id say keep an open mind , we looked at loads before we found ours , even the more newer ones we found had suffered , either been used as a work vehicle or had a really hard life ... (depending on what your planning on doing with it ) try and find something with fewer owners and where possible...

I have found that a lot of mot advisories are are highlighted just because they have to be seen to be doing so .... Id have a good check on the oil leaks , everything else is a pretty easy / normal fix ... do you have any photos of it .. ?

checked the fronts again today , and they are much worse than I had thought .. they had worn on the in side a little , I fitted all new HD steering rods and had the tracking done in nov , I thought that the tyre ware would even out , but they just seem to have worn more than expected ...

oh , I have just checked this , and the 265 are rated at K which from what I can see is only 68 mph .. :( on the same make at 235 they are rated too Q which is 99 mph .. Might need a rethink about the STT pro's ...

I’m not sure if I’d get the clearance , I don’t think a spacer would work as there is a lot of weight on it .. when the bike is on the bk it’s pretty close to the spare wheel I might have to pass on the swing away
