    I love my old Freelander. I love working on it. I was given it and would not be able to afford a Disco or Defender. But I love my Freelander. Yes they have problems. But that's half the fun. :-)

    Hi GrumpyGel. I am going to shot blast the underside Later on this week so I can wax oil the underneath. I had it on the inspection trench at work. I think that end nut is going to be an angle grinder job. So I will have to replace them anyway. Any excuse. :-)

    What do you all think? Should I replace the two from suspension lower arms. The other one is just as bad. Serious rust. The other thing are the trailing links they are looking a bit tired. Any thoughts would be welcome. .

    Break Drums

    Yep DTO. Sorry my spelling and terminology are not good. I have now sorted the problem. The adjuster screws were rusted and stuck. Today I replaced the Shoes, all the springs, struts and clips. And the new brake drums now fit perfectly. The brakes work perfectly now. :-)

    What have you done to your Freelander today

    Today I have replaced the break drums and replaced all the working parts and pads in the breaks. Including both wheel cylinders. Upper and Lower spring assembly's the adjuster struts. And the hand-break strut. Good as new. :-)

    Egr Blanking Mod

    I have now had my EGR blanking mod on for 4 days. What a difference it has made to my fuel consumption 120 miles on 1/4 of a tank down the A9 to Perth. :-) very happy.

    I spent yesterday removing g and replaceing the break drums on my 02 2tr TD4 Freelander. All was good until I tried to get the new drums on. I was unable to get them all the was as the pads were set to the old drums which are very worn. How the hell do you adjust the pad clearance. Please can...

    My TD4 3 door freelander 02 plate has a damp patch in the lowest part of the tool boot. How ever hard I try I can't get rid of it totally. :-/
