Yes the calipers are fully wound in. There is loads of space between the calipers and the back pad. The issue is at the front.

Help part 2!! Caliper won't fit back on...

Now I have the new disk and pads on the caliper won't fit back on. There isn't enough clearance for the caliper to come down over the outer pad. Is the upper caliper guide meant to move in and out? Mine is fixed. Any suggestions?

    More power form my 200tdi

Compared to itself and what it used to be like. 75 used to be fine on the motorway - now it only makes 70. There are hills that it used to deal with OK that it struggles with now. I changed the gearbox this year for re-con and i think I ended up with a lower ratio 5th which would explain...

    More power form my 200tdi

My 200tdi is getting a bit slow, especially on hills. I want to have a go at getting some more power back. I have just changed the air filter and reset the valve clearances which did make an improvement. So what should I do next? Next steps are likely to be: - Checking air/turbo pipes for...

You can open it with Preview (which you should have as standard). It is a good idea to set Preview as the default for .pdf files as there are loads of them out there.

How much brakefluid to bleed a Disco TD5?

I have tried a :search:but I can't find it. The Haynes manual doesn't seem to have it either. Approx how much fluid do you need to bleed the system?

    Heater matrix upgrade

There is an idiot answer which may not be elsewhere. I used to have very weak heating, but i thought it was normal. When I took my instrument panel out to change a bulb last week I found that the fan selector lever was bent by years of people pushing down on it. This meant that I had never...

    Defender Prices

We have one of each: a fifteen year old Defender and a five year old Discovery. The Discovery tries to be a luxury road car and fails: poor handling, no acceleration, variable noise automatic gearbox, horrific British Leyland style dash and switchgear.... need I go on. The Defender tries to...
