    What the hell

I seem to recall birds going nuts for a fella with similar inclanations ;). Well, tis not a runner - bought it to break. Sat on my drive falling to bits slowly. Sorta slipped my mind I guess . Oh and Diesel Do owns 50% of it!! So I'm only half a murderer-wagon owner!

    What the hell

HA :D!! Threeche! I totally fooking forgot about than LOL. What can I say, murder-wagon ownership still hasn't sunk in fully :hippie:.

Engine mount polybushes, my initial findings

I'll never fully trust it, but it's me motor and it is what it is.

    What the hell

Yaaaawn. I'd rather be associated with hairdresses and gays than kiddy-fiddling murders like Disco owners are these days.

Engine mount polybushes, my initial findings

Bleddy Rover. But say what you will, they're a ****load easier to fix than modern lumps and drive as nicely when in good shape :). But what kind of regular owner is going tp put up with undoing four bolts to put new bushes in? Easier to just go on Honest John and bitch about it.

Engine mount polybushes, my initial findings

You won't be able to tell be looking at the bushes as they are inside the bracket. They don't seem to wear as much as they just go soft. But they are already too soft if you ask me.

Engine mount polybushes, my initial findings

The car jumped around alot when moving slowly in traffic, and when I dropped the clutch it would thump rather nastily. You can test it my having someone let the clutch up to the bite while you're handbraked and if the engine jumps around inside the bay then chances are they're fecked. TBH...

Too much for a 1.8. £3200 max I'd say, unless it has brand new tyres and a **** load of accessories on it or something. Mine is the same but with 122k on it, valued at around £2700.

Engine mount polybushes, my initial findings

Seems to be really quietening down now, 50 feels alot more sedate than it did before.
  16. WLJayne

Engine mount polybushes, my initial findings

After a few dozen miles the vibration is greatly reduced - if anything it's now quieter at around 40 than before. I guess the bushes just need to bed in a bit.

Engine mount polybushes, my initial findings

My top un was nowhere near as bad as the bottom one. But I got two in the box so fitted both.

Engine mount polybushes, my initial findings

The oil rail was standard on 2003 Freelanders wasn't it? I fitted new bolts when I did the last HG. It didn't seem to seal properly even though I had the head skimmed. Tbh I think the engine is goosed, the liners were right on the limit.

I'll certainly look into that if I do a rebuild mate, sounds really good!

Engine mount polybushes, my initial findings

It's a case of one less thing is broke, therefore I int going to complain. Hopefully the head bolt retorque will sort of the gas leak. The head bolts still feel loose though, I don't trust the rover settings at all - I went 270 degrees over reccomended on the angular tightening and they still...
