Two reasons mainly, 1. I am over 70 yrs and every inch counts. Gone past off-roading. 2. My Lab and Husky are not far behind me in dog years and while I have lowered the tail gate for them, however an extra inch or two lower would also benefit them. Comes with age, unfortunately.

Will lowering the suspension have any adverse effects on the steering and handling.

Many thanks. The whole thing seems a bit dodgy to me and would be only asking for trouble. I also think that it is risking a lot of money to save on road tax which is the whole problem anyway. A 2000 LT car here is over 700 euro, in the UK about 300 Pounds, Crazy.

Hi All. I have a 1984 109 FFR. I mainly use it as a daily runabout on tarmac but find it very hard and bouncy on the road. It is fitted with Security 7.50-16 LT Tyres and a full set of Parabolic springs. What could I do to make it softer and more comfortable to drive. Regards. Chris.

Never tried that. Leave that to the 109.
