Yep....and speeding up every time there is a clear stretch of road....to just above the speed I can do in a truck. :(

+1 on that. My personal bugbear - esp the ones that suffer from oncoming-trafficitis

Replacing the brake fluid in the ABS Module.

@sierrafery Does this apply to the D2? I have just had to disconnect the ABS module in order to fit a repair plate on the inner wing, and then reinstated the Module. Inevitably some fluid did escape. What bleeding procedure should I follow if/as/when I get the beast running again? Cheers :)

P38A Near bakes binding for no obvious reason

Don't know about P38's per se but delaminated flexi's are certainly a thing - and not uncommon. :)

    Series 3 Heater fan

Left field solution - I cut through the spindle at the motor end and tapped it through the collet from behind. :) As a result I now have a fully operational heater motor fan once more...and as the ballast resistor still works, I have a 2 speed heater fan motor. :D Happy days.

    Series 3 Heater fan

So I am replacing the motor part of the heater assembly and need to remove the fan from the existing spindle. Does the metal collar just prise open? or do the plastic wedges need to be prised upwards? or am I missing something?? Cheers

    Heater Motor Resistor

Curiously, this seems to be available at a very reasonable price these days: https://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/prc1716-resistor-for-heater-plug-up-to-1986.html :) Don't remember seeing it when I bought replacement motor 6 weeks back

    Heater Motor Resistor

Going by historical info: https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/heater-resistor-utp1281.334764/ 3.5 Ohms seems to be the "accepted" figure, but I don't think 4.5 will do any harm :)
