    Couple of stupid questions

I couldnt see a fill line on mine but it was dry. I put about 1/2 litre in the outside and it flowed down and filled the bottom as there are some drain holes on the inside. Is this right? How much should be in there?

New to this - advice please

Paint it whatever colour that floats your boat. It's a personal thing and you are the one that's going to have to look at it every day. I went for mat NATO green just because I like it and don't plan on cleaning it much. Looking forward to some pics.

    Let sleeping dogs lie?

I'd buy the parts in just in case but leave it lone. As long as you have been doing the fluids and filters it sounds line the rest is fine and dandy.

Just bought a Series III 88"

I'm a police officer so I can answer that for you. If you tow it on a rigid tow as in nobody in the car or on front lift tow then all okay. If someone is sat in the car then they are considered driving it as they are controlling the direction etc. regardless as if it is running or even has...

    Series dash question

I have a 73 series 3 SWB and the dash (speedo, gauges and switches) has seen better days plus the previous owner has changed the switches for after market ones. I have looked around and on auction sites and new ones are a fortune, switches are really expensive. On auction sites the dash...

    Defender Bonnet on a Series?

Or just sell it then go out and buy a defender. That's if wind down windows, interior lights and reliable electrics are your thing. Personally it think it takes away from the driving experience.
