Just to follow up on this, is there a way of locking the doors and immobilizing, without setting the alarm. Only asking cos when I leave the dog in there it obviously sets the sodding alarm off every time. thanks

I converted my 110 van into a double cab, and to be honest it's not that difficult, if you can source all the parts. It may actually be easier to build a county type, cos you don't have to source a twin cab roof and rear panel, or fabricate a new bulkhead. I posted a thread on here a while ago...

The folding seat supports just rest against the jack. Tilts the seat up a bit, but I don't sit there.

A 4' high lift fits tidy on the floor of my 90, tight up against the wheel arch. A bolt, nut, then then a wing nut through one of the holes keeps it in place. HTH Rick

I thought that carling switches pushed up to switch on. Have a look at their website, as I'm sure it's on there, something about working on the american system? The oval badge I got from them was different. It was basically just flat backed and I superglued it on. HTH Rick

double cab should be better as you don't have the bulkhead behind your seat but rear seats might get a bit cramped for passengers. Totally agree, haven't even put the back seats in mine yet, just used for secure storage. Rick
