    P38 or L322 - which one do I sell?

Maybe it's just that it's an auto and therefore an anthill will slow it down big time with weight on the back. Solo it's fine, hence the dilemma I'm having!! :)

That's what I keep saying to STMBO - but it doesn't go down very well

    P38 or L322 - which one do I sell?

Ok! .... So I can't make up my mind: My P38 is a 2000 DHSE with 145,000 miles and I've owned it for around 6 years. EAS is good with replaced suspension bags, new EAS pump, new in tank fuel pump, and running well - it does struggle to tow my big tin tent but then of course it is a diesel. My...

L322 250 miles towing caravan (big hills) - trans failsafe ..

Ha Ha - Thanks Phil I was just about to post a link to a post of yours on range rovers.net in July 2015 saying just that :)

L322 250 miles towing caravan (big hills) - trans failsafe ..

Cooling strategy does not kick in until 140 degs C - which suggests that under that is ok. Considering I was towing a 1900 kg caravan at a constant 60 mph then perhaps 104 degs C is not so bad after all? Cooling strategy did not kick in at any time including my outward journey. All the readings...

L322 250 miles towing caravan (big hills) - trans failsafe ..

I must admit I left it in Drive for the whole journey - the last 40-50 miles were on really steep and frequent gradients. At one point the vehicle smelt really hot - which must have been the box as engine temp was fine. The caravan was the best part of 1900kg and I probably went a little too...

L322 250 miles towing caravan (big hills) - trans failsafe ..

250 miles towing caravan (big hills) - trans failsafe ...... ........ after arriving at destination and setting up and then driving solo. Cleared with iid (forgot to save log but indicated speed sensor - I think - ) and no problems for rest of holiday including return journey home and total...

L322 No fuel pressure until cranking! No Residual!

The pressure is regulated by the fuel filter, the only thing on the rail is a Schrader valve for checking the pressure.

L322 No fuel pressure until cranking! No Residual!

I managed to borrow a good pressure gauge and checked fuel rail pressure: result - zero until cranking! It also drops to zero immediately when switching engine off. There is no problem when driving and under load. The in tank fuel pump and filter were changed in October last year! Any ideas?

    L322 Gearbox Thoughts please

You must use the correctly specified fluid only and definitely not a universal. I had a so called gearbox specialist (an idiot really) change the oil and filter on mine when I first bought it (was getting dreaded rumble etc). This was before I knew much about it. I went on holiday towing my tin...

L322 Since changing fuel pump difficult to start when warm

Fuel pump failed some time ago so replaced it. But since then it is sometimes difficult to start when warm and been standing for some time. First thing in morning starts fine, but when warm turns over longer and then fires but struggles as though no fuel (sometimes even stalling). A blip of...

    Will the P38 out last a L322?

    :)

    Will the P38 out last a L322?

And that's why I can't decide which one of mine to sell: my p38 that I've had for 6 years, or my l322 that I've had for 18 months!! Decisions decisions!!!! One has to go, 3 on the drive is not good (according to stmbo) - my other is a disco 2 that stmbo drives.

P38A Nanocom not communicating with eas ecu

You're right I couldn't read tha abs ecu either - it was fuse 24/5 amp (didn't check fuse 33).

P38A Nanocom not communicating with eas ecu

Sorry for late reply :( I suddenly had a light bulb moment: remembering once that I had an abs failure due to broken brake light switch, I stated to wonder if abs/tc was causing it not to read eas ecu. I'd checked eas fuses so decided to check abs fuses - low and behold a 5amp fuse on the abs...

P38A Nanocom not communicating with eas ecu

Just replaced rear air spring and car started to level but stopped. Nanocom is failing to connect to eas ecu but will connect to others! Need to check and clear faults but can't. 'Max 35mph' and 'traction failure' - any help please? Len

L322 Can't find this eas problem using search: Opinions please :)

So I've just sorted the 'failing to run' problem (replaced fuel pump), and now I have an eas problem: Whilst driving today I suddenly had a 'rumble' sound that came from offside front and sounded like loosing traction. It would happen on acceleration (hard) and then again on braking (hard). I...

    New Disco Owner :-)

Thought I'd done well with my '04 TD5 Pursuit at 97,000 - but 60,000, hardly run in! Had mine less than a week and already covered nearly 500 miles, 270+ with twin axle tin tent on back :)

Disco 2 Long term RR owner - now Discovery 2!!

The 4.4 is certainly better (in my opinion) than the diesel on the grounds that the gearbox is stronger. Having said that it needs the gearbox oil and filter changed using only the specified oil - LT71141 - even though it says 'sealed for life'. Mine is not converted yet to lpg (not sure if I...
