OK. I'm converted..I admit it, I was wrong!

My wife was having increasing difficulty getting out of her Beetle , and any low car, due to her arthritic knees. So we decided to find something with more 'height' to it. I spent 17 years in motor trade (parts) back in the 80' and 90's. Back when Freelanders were new. And lets be honest, the...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Stripped front calipers to try and get rid of stinking smell. Took caliper soff and pistons were free but bottom sliders were both stuck. Looks like rubber sleeves have swolloen and are loose. They were both bound up in the holes. Trimmed them back so they were a good sliding fit but expect to...

No Nodge. Its a proper flexi exhaust pipe. Stainless steel . Used them before with no problem.

    Stinky pete the Freelander...

No wtheres an idea I never thougt of! The AC is very poor so could be a leak. And I was going to change the pollen filter this week. So will see what happens after that. I was concentrating on mechanical issues rather than ventilation. Cheers.

    Stinky pete the Freelander...

OK. Strange one this but I'm scratching my head... Wifes 1.8 has been great since we got it. No problems other than couple of minor things to take care of. (Idle air valve, CD player, nothing else engine related) Just fixed the leaky flexible exhaust joint it had on it on Saturday with no...

What have you done to your Freelander today

I had a leaky flexi exhaust connection. So replaced it by cutting the pipe in front and behind of it and putting in a flexible pipe length instead. Cost :- £25 including clamps, putty, pipe. Better than nearly 60 for whole pipe. And when the rest of it eventually fails, which it no doubt...

Sounds prefectly reasonable to me. You do realise everything on this forum is scanned by H&S management for UK PLC and anyone making dangerous suggestions will be dragged before the H&S demigods and forced to do a H&S assessment of every aspect of their lives. You'll be tangled up in H&S red...
