First Hippo, with a buttload of faults

Everybody should have some ordnance of some description lying around...its only right lol! I miss my little pile of blue practise bombs!...should go and dig em up!. But you probably couldn't get near the ranges nowadays. They probably can't afford to throw much stuff down range this day and...

First Hippo, with a buttload of faults

Laff!, no, my haunts were the Moray coast (Scotland) there was even homing torpedoes and all sorts of really dangerous stuff washed up there. Its a real wonder i didn't blow myself to bits. I remember having my own personal stash of 28Ib unexploded practice bombs...some even with the...

First Hippo, with a buttload of faults

Laff!, could he been interesting :) Its ok Dan, the thing will be totally inert/safe, as its just a big bullet really. All the propellant was in the brass case it fitted into. That one looks as though it was originally a DP round (Drill Purpose). Its never been fired as you can see by the...

First Hippo, with a buttload of faults

Laff!, looks like a 30mm Aden cannon shell as mentioned. Hell of a weapon, 24v firing initiated. It's an aircraft weapon. Just the thing for those silver hatchbacks on the way to the garden center..lol! Just thought you might want to know. :)

    Opinions please.

Redrex has a point if your going to do/have to do some serious off road stuff. But it will have HDC the same as the adventurer am more than sure. It looks shiny enough, needs a radio antenna, but looks straight enough. Why not go and see it, drive it, do the usual checks, and go from...

    Advice needed please

They didn't do a V8 (nice idea tho..) Normal fit for the V6 is anything from 195/80/R15 to 215/65/R16 up to a 225/55/R17. There is even a 235/50/R18 in the mix, but have never seen the 18's fitted. VCU wont be the same if its a V6, but it would be if its a 1.8. Am sure others on here can help...

    Very stiff clutch

Fit this when the arm is better..Its easy, and job done. Been there a couple of times with your problem. Before long if you carry on with the car in it's present state, there will be a strange twang sound, and your engine bay will be full of strange springs and bits of plastic as the whole...

    opinion on the fl1

Have had a couple of sets of prop/vcu support bearings go on mine (Petrol 1.8), the first set started a "Screech screech screech" sound that turned into a full blown noisy as hell grooaar sound at any speed (1 mph upwards). The second set started with the full blown noisey "Groooarr" sound...

    Central Locking REPAIR, not replacement

Sounds good to me..especially the simple as possible bit. My bwain cell really does do as simple as possible with fiddly things :) Wouldnt it be great to use Boeing B52 bomb door lock pin solenoids?...every time you pressed the unlock button you could think to yourself "Charlie is really...

    goodyear wrangler tyres m+s

Same here on the Wranglers, but mine has 16" boots, and they don't make my favorite AW wranglers anymore on a 16. Its all Wrangler SUV now. I wrote to goodyear asking why....but no answer was the stern reply. Have to admit though, they did get a bit "droney" after half worn.

    Central Locking REPAIR, not replacement

Walkthrough would be good for me. Mine has the usual "I will lock, but i wont unlock" problem on the drivers side. I can hear the solenoid working as well both ways. Really have to get off my ass and fix it. So any help would be great :)

EXTERMINATE!!!...i seem to remember thats what the daleks were good at...ish. I could do with a Dalek in my old barn to deal with the rodents! :) Sorry, but i have thought about this, and there should be (sincerely) no criticism of Dan. He is a dyed in the wool good old fashioned British...
