Had a weird one last night, RRC 300tdi just lost power then cut out, it felt like I had run out of fuel. Tried to re-start and it fired up straight away and drove home. Anyone had anything similar? I am thinking possible bad fuel, air lock or pump, any help appreciated.

On rooting around in my garage I came across a starter motor from my old 2.25 Diesel engine, does anyone know if it will fit the V8?

Looks ok that and as the saying goes if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Never saw the point of removing the oil bath apart from saving space, works well and easy to service.

I tried flash starting it but the solenoid does not seem to want to play.

does anyone in the Gloucester area have a V8 starter motor I could have or borrow as I think the starter motor in my RRC project is kaput but not 100% sure. Thanks in advance Mick

I would be looking at all your servos and pipes first as pipes do fail without looking as though they are leaking, there is a word for this but I'm having a mind blank.
