Check the wiring from the ignition if power is going into the ignition but not out the other side your switch is properly faulty.

Hi all I have a 300tdi softdash Rangerover. On the way home yesterday the Rev counter stopped working. The fuse is ok and I can find info on petrol engines but where is the Rev counter feed on a 300tdi. Many thanks

If you are going to have to do the timing belt which it sounds as though you are i would do all belts and water pump at the same time, I have a 300TDI and i think they are similar. Good luck.

First thing to check is wheel balance and alignment

Well today I have treated the RRC softdash to new cam belt, drive belt, drive belt tensioner and water pump. I now have a happy Rover again

I like that, not sure about the front bumper but has cool appeal.
