    FFS and other issues!

Can confirm all good in the rear of the Freelander regards interior lighting and power/grounds. NOW. I have a column change to do. Watched a video about a year ago and very good it was too. Unfortunately it’s disappeared into the YouTube ether… Anyhoo first task.. remove steering wheel...

Wayward ‘Earth’ wire and rear compartment interior light has ‘two’ power inputs but no ground. 🤔

Hello Folks Still finishing off the Freelander ‘SAGA’(I started this project as a younger man/Now ‘SAGA is more appropriate than ever/getting older etc) and have a question conundrum or ten. First two.. whilst refitting the rear interior panel in the ‘boot’ I have ‘discovered’ that the rear...

    TD4 SAGA!

I’m glad I did I now have just enough knowledge to get myself into some real trouble.. and maybe some more to get myself back out again. Everyday is a learning curve but spannering and knowing how to use basic tools is a game changer.. as are buying some specialised tools that save time.

    TD4 SAGA!

Haha I may have to already have two other cars. I bought this TD4 in 2017 for my daughter when she expecting her 3rd child. He was born and then the MOT fail happened.. I work away for 5 days a week so actual time on task would have to be when I was at home. After missing several deadlines...

    TD4 SAGA!

Hello All Not sure if anyone remembers...I have been 'rebuilding/fabricating/fixing/breaking/remaking/crying/swearing/laughing/cursing/praying/wishing' my life away in my 'garage' fixing a 1 inch hole in the nearside sill and a 'dodgy' steering column.....after a very short (10mins worth of...

3 Amigos - Hints and Tips - Solved (in this case !)

Just been looking for this exact info...Off up the garage in a moment to check mine...have to admit that when I was rebuilding my rear suspension (completely) that the hubs came off and I wanted the sensors out...Maybe thinking using a punch and ball pein hammer not the best idea..:rolleyes:o_O

    FL2 will not start

Nodge would the crank sensor test be to crank the car and see if the Rev counter needle moves or is there a more involved test for that issue on the TD4?

    Freelander 1 Update and ‘Progress’

Found this photo showing a ‘good’ mount you can see the two slots that the plastic sleeve on the pump slide into. A simple fit after a fair while wondering/trying to attach the damn thing..

    Freelander 1 Update and ‘Progress’

Looking at your photo more closely it looks like your ‘mount’ is broken or damaged a bit.. will try to remember to get a good close up of it for reference later today..

    Freelander 1 Update and ‘Progress’

FBH dosing pump? Is that the circled item on the right in the photo I have marked? If so it actually mounts to the plastic housing circled on the left. It’s a ‘push fit’ and I must have spent more than a reasonable amount of time trying to figure out how it goes on. Once you manage to fit it...

    Freelander 1 Update and ‘Progress’

Yesterday(Saturday) was a ‘weird one’ for me as work hadn’t called due to lack of… work?🤔 It’s becoming a ‘thing’ but not one to miss an opportunity I got up to the garage after a bowl of porridge and a cup of tea. A mixed bag of tasks, first of which was the refitting of the fuel filter/pump...

Freelander 1 ‘The Lambada’..(Three steps forwards..Two steps back/Rinse and repeat..) AKA Brakes Bled!!

Okay brakes have been bled on the TD4. As the whole of the rear brakes/brake lines were replaced I wasn’t expecting it to be a straight forwards experience and that’s pretty much how things went..Anyhoo ‘which method’ did I use..? ALL OF THEM BASICALLY. No single method worked on its own in...
