I deskinned my doors, blasted the frames, galved them and then reskinned with DPM between the steel and ali. Should outlast me :)

It's under discussion/been proposed. Personally I think it is a bad idea. Most of us will and do maintain our trucks well. But there are tossers out there who don't and would happily drive accidents waiting to happen or are just plain incompetent!

KM, replacing rotten outriggers or xmember is fine - it's a repair. Moving them to other positions is not and you have modified the chassis. HTH

Yep. The chassis IS the identity. So it is the Rangie... but as mentioned, once modified it needs an SVA and an almost certain Q-plate. One thing it will never be is a series.

Just been in there. Again, not much more info - but car sales are run by a different guy than the workshops. It was a Black 90 (not 110) pickup with delivery miles only on the clock. There was CCTV as mentioned and the chap did say 'professional job'. I don't know how many perps were involved...

Not going to get you anywhere. You have asked them to insure you, and they have declined the business as I presume they regard you as too high a risk (rightly or wrongly). Would you be happy if they said, "OK, £9999 then". Wouldn't really help would it? You can't force a business to take on...

3 pointer are unsafe, but lap belts are fine.
