Bin them. You don't need them. Was the first thing to go on mine.

    D3 vs L322 vs FL2-choices!

+1 on the FL2. I'd have another one. An all round wallet friendly vehicle. Load space is the only significant compromise over the other two.

    Swivel ball kits

I noticed one particular company on the net has since superceded that part number with another.

The part number for the swivel ball I used was FRC7065R.

    Swivel ball kits

It's a good question and I don't know the answer. An investigation was launched as to why this was happening. It was concluded that the maker of the swivel ball changed the type of metal/casting they were using and it simply wasn't up to the job. The product was then withdrawn from the...

    Swivel ball kits

And if you think it was just sheer bad luck or bad driving, here's a pic of another person in the group on the SAME trip a few days before mine went. He too bought the exact same type of swivel ball but from different people:

    Swivel ball kits

Keep the hell away from the Teflon ****e. I'm mentioning no names of the company I bought them from, but I've just successfully claimed all associated costs back from the people who supplied me with 2x Teflon coated swivel balls, as fitting them lead to this during a trip to Morocco in...

    300tdi catalytic converter ?

Seems to be a common misconception on here that the 300tdi carried a DPF rather than a catalytic converter. I've had 2x 300tdi Discovery now and weighed both of the catalytic converters in at the same time at EMR. I got £124 for the pair. DPFs are worth nowhere near that value.

Anyone Know How heavy A Rear Axle Weigh's

I'd say 100kg+ with the diff. Not nice to shift about at all. Do yourself a favour and remove the diff if you can.

    Rattle under 300tdi

Check the dust shield on the drive flange of the transfer box. When they wear, they come loose and rattle to buggery. That's what my rattle turned out to be anyway.
