  • Hi Rose
I was sent the completely wrong set of everything from Paddocks and luckily realised before I tried to put them in and Scotland isnt a bad place to be stranded...I love the place and Im planing an expedition up to the highlands next year using only minor roads from East Anglia. Seems lectronic is the way to go! Now off to paint her and find out why the temp gauge is showing too hot...ah the pleasures of S3 ownership....I used to have lovely hands and fingernails..now they are just tattered and torn and oilstained!!

    Lovely to hear from you!

    Hi there Doug,
FIRST time owner of a S3?!!! Well done on finding this site - it's very useful when you need to fix it (which is likely to be a frequent event!)
I had a novel published in March... oops - post! Damn, council election crap, NOT my replacement rotor arm! Fitted electronic ignition yesterday, only to discover the firm sent me the wrong rotor arm. This was following a break down in Scotland which, after 3 days of trying to fix it I called the AA. The guy tried to fix it but she broke down 2 miles later. Turns out the new dizzy I fitted in January had the wrong set of points (and all this was from Paddock - be careful when ordering bits). I came home on the back of a truck, and have now fitted (mostly) electronic ignition. Oh what bliss! A POINTless Landy!
I trust your S3 will not be too hard on you (or your pocket), but the guys here are very helpful. Loads of useful links as well. Whether you're a mudplugger or expeditioner, welcome!
    Yours,
    Rose
