bad vibrations

hi there i have a 300tdi disco & my prob is that when i get to about 60/ 65mph i get a bad vibration through the whole car i think the tracing is ok & wheel balancing is ok is this down to swivel load if so how do i check it & then adjust it please help

I'd first check that the wheel nuts are all properly tight, then wheel bearings aren't too loose, then get underneath and check UJ's and rubber doughnut.

did you check the props ? i ad this proplem and wen i greased them it did drive smoother till my uj on front prop broke !!!!!

As it happens, I picked my 300tdi up today and have exactly the same problem!! So, you guys think u.j? I'd guess against wheel balance as it does it nearly every time BUT not every time (like wheel imbalance would). Hope one or other of us works it out without spending too much!

Also; What's the alarm that goes off when I hit 75 mph!? it's pretty quiet but I haven't a clue what it's all about. Anyone know? ('98 disco "avimore").
