My scrappie has got 3 x TD4s so no use.

Will post photo. Will also check it is straightforward to take off as it is under the alternator !! 🫣
 
Original is leaking at the weld. Tried to aluminium weld but still leaks.
I used to be able to weld ally, but don't have access to a TIG welder now. MIG welding ally is possible, but tricky, especially if the power isn't reversible, as ally needs the torch to be negative, and the work positive.
 
I tried an aluminium welding stick and a gas torch. All super clean and it flowed nicely but obviously not gas tight. Soapy bubbles proved that !!
