Blimey, is that little pick up rated to tow 3.5 tonnes plus?
Ranger 3.2 wildtrack, 3500kgs capacity yeah, emptyed the spare wheel and my usual junk that takes my RR to 2780kgs usually with me in it too so it is somewhere near 2550kg, his trailers 850kg, luckily we have a weigh bridge and i had to remove a the spare out the black range rover i took down to High Wycombe years ago to bring it just under weight.

As much as im a bit meh about my range rover atm i wouldn't want it upside down somewhere or killing someone else

Those Wildtracks are pretty good. One at work was twin - turbo with 10 speed automatic and I think it had low range too. Pretty sure it was usually 2H but also had 4H and then 4L on a knob near the gear selector. Towed with it a few times and it was effortless, albeit a bit thirsty.

Finally continuing with my plan from a couple of weeks back and managed to nip out on to the driveway and change the oil in the rear diff this evening. No record of it being done but that's not to say it hasn't at some point. This could potentially be 90k diff oil. Very minimal sludge on the magnet so that's about as good as can be expected I reckon. Still got to do the front one but I need just a bit more height than the suspension can give me and I was too lazy to get the jack out. Silly really, I already had the stands there but it was getting dark under the car.

Only thing that I will say that I was surprised about is the fact that Topix says in one place that the drain plug for the diff should be tightened to 54Nm and in another place it says 28Nm. 54Nm seems a lot and both sources suggest 34Nm for the fill plug.

And (while I'm having a little whinge), why is the fill plug not the level? 1.14l is almost impossible to measure when your little pump bottle can't get everything out of it. I now have a line that is where the measurement has to start from and then use one of our best pyrex measuring jugs without being caught. It just adds stress.
