Here's the only picture I bothered to take on my trip to the fens.
We rode in to Cambridge for lunch. This was taken from the towpath on the CAM.
I have never seen so many Swans in such a short stretch of river. We hit the towpath here and crossed over s nearby bridge onto the other side and went to where all the college boathouses are. We sat in the Fort St. George pub for lunch.

Glad you are back safe and sound!:):)

Not just Citroen's, people...

As we own a version of a C3 we took this very seriously, but the Japanese company, Takata, that makes the faulty airbags has them fitted in loads of makes and models of cars. As this was highlighted in France due to the death of a driver this happened to we checked it out properly. Luckily our car isn't one involved. But it is also D3s, among many other makes.

If you want to know which cars are involved, here is a list. OK it's in French, but all you have to do, under each make, is click on "liste des modèles concernés par année" and it'll list them by year.

So, past coupla days have been a bit cooler.
Shopped yet again, the creme de cassis is all bottled and tastes great. (Not always the case, we never seem to keep a copy of the recipe, this one is now going in the file!)
Today = hairdresser for W this arvo followed by the free aperitifs in the village as it is the start of our 3 day fete, so batten down the hatches, remove and secure your postboxes, shut the windows and put the ear plugs in!!;););)

Re the airbags, apparently there has been a class action in the US which cost the company millions.
Over time the can thing that holds the explosive deteriorates and lets damp in, so when it goes off it literally explodes rather than going through a very fast burn.
Bits of the metal can go flying sadly towards the driver's throat area. And this is what happened, the guy or woman died basically from a cut throat.

Having just realised that I'd not put the link up!

the LR products listed are :

"Land Rover

Liste des modèles concernés par année

Discovery Sport produits entre 201-2016
Range Rover LM produits entre 2006 et 2012"

(Their typo re which start year for the Disco Sport.)

So now thousands of drivers daren't use their cars and it's costing them a fortune as the garages cannot keep up with the replacement process. I haven't looked too deeply into it as ours isn't involved but I would have thought you could have just pulled the airbag fuse and driven like that.
I looked more closely at ours as, one morning, the airbag warning light came on. But it went off next time I started the car, so I did the usual thing and ignored it, until this biz was all over the paper.
