Drill the pop rivets and it comes out no bother. Or it should as mine did. I have some old road signs lying about and as their aluminum I made the new part out of that.

Changed that with the Yrm one. It was easy enough. Good quality part too. Meegos idea also works. Did the same with a bit of sheet Ali the size of the recess and with an angle at the end to rivet onto tub as well. Yrm one is actually easier to do with the tub off but that turns into a bawbuster. ✌🏻

Do you not drill out the spot welds and rivet the new one in place using the same holes?
Or cut it off from the back and bond it in place, would look neater.
The spot weld are a lot bigger than rivot holes so I haven’t figured out which it’s the best way to do it , probably wait until the part I’ve ordered arrives & contemplate a plan

Are you sure? I have done other panels with YRM replacements where you drill out the spotwelds with a 5mm bit, and then split the panel with a sharp chisel (I use an old wood chisel as thinner and sharper than a metal working chisel and ali is soft). as long as you centre the hole on the spot weld , which is the difficult bit, I have never had an issue with oversized rivet holes.
