Moving on is why we're on this site, Sometimes it's not easy with a range rover as we have all discovered, my current problems stopping me moving on are the EAS on my 2.5dse 1997 and mystery misfires on my 1999 4.6 hse. many thanks to all for your help and witty comments.

I'm going to go for cheapest plug leads, just as long as their new I hope they'll work. New MAF and plugs just fitted , still hunting and misfiring, (datatek, even with loose petrol cap),especially in lower ranges. Purge valve and leads next.
