engine turns over on Nanocom, must be a super strong Nanocom you have there:eek:
Not sure what effect turning off the immobiliser has on the V8 as it uses a rolling code. No need to turn the alarm off but turning off EKA is a good idea.
No lights on the dash? Battery flat? Blown fuse? Bad battery connection? Any burning smell from the fuse box?

none of the above happened the engine lights on the dash are not on it was starting when i used the nanocom i was able to turn engine over i think its a immobiliser issue as the engine turned over but not fired up but the nanocom cant find the ecu

What did you do with the Nanocom that allowed the engine to turn over?
You can use the Nanocom to do a security learn but not if the ECU cannot be accessed. Might be a problem with the OBD connector or loss of power to the ECU.

I have always found that some ECU's (e.g. Wabco-D) can ONLY be contacted when the ignition is on (Key Pos 2) as it is only then that the sub-system is powered.
Is it the same for the immobiliser and Engine ECU ?
The self-test lights and then switches off all except TC & ABS as it needs the car to be moving >7MPH before extinguishing those 2....doesn't it? So how did you end up with all lights off and a blank dash?

if i knew how i could fix it my car had welding and offside suspension ball joints replaced the car was starting ok once we had done the work and put the car off the stands the eas stopped working and nanocom could not link to ecu then for no reason the immobiliser come on got no engine lights on the right hand side but have all the lights on left hand side of dashboard

Arc welding should only be done with the battery disconnected or damage may occur.
