Tis difficult to repair tyres in the miserable weather we get an in the dark, not an easy job
they are removed with hand tools, we did keep a load of spares & part worns so it was just
a matter of changing the spare wheel an tyre over.
If they do trailer tyres they remove the tyre of the rim which is still attached. This way they don’t need to wait to re torque the nuts.

Yes that's the norm, super singles I could stack them six high lol

Break the bead on the outer rim, take off the outside of the tyre & slide underneath
with a sledgy & break the back bead & spray with wd40 put the leaver in from the
back pull to the outside slip the other leaver in & pull the tyre off...
soap the new tyre bead lift onto the top of the wheel & give it a good boot..(tyre on)
soap the outer bead 3/4s use left knee to push the tyre into the wheel work the leaver
round to fit the rest last bit may require a whack with sledgy.
If your good this can be done in less than 90 seconds :D

Here it is with the newly-painted back panel re-fitted and with a new wedge-style quick-change post fitted.
I have attempted to remove the backlash on the cross-slide and I am down from 20 thou' to 4 thou' so I need to try harder I know.
Allegedly, some tool-holders to match will turn up tomorrow, which would be nice and then I might be able to turn a custom "backlash removal" washer.
Chinese-lathe haters may now (of course) form an orderly queue and apply their hoots of derision as they see fit.
I am reconciled to the fact that it is a "Toy" and that I am merely dabbling in machining, so I will not be all that offended.

Yer only need to meet the spec of +/-2mm to make engine parts fer big Freelander's so yer should be ok. ;)
 
Bit of hard luck that but if it's bad tomorrow don't look for a hospital try the local Countryside/animal businesses and get some cohesive bandage like they use on horses :) - much better bet.
If the tyre is looking iffy then make sure you phone for the service bloke at a very early hour! He'll then learn to do a better job first time round. :)
