I take it you have checked you have power and ground at the RF receiver and the aerial is pluged in.
I've not checked power/ground, but the aerial is plugged in. I'll do this at lunch if I get a moment. I dared to assume power/ground must be OK as nano stated a valid code had been received after I had cleared the RF memory

ok.. clear RF memory, recheck, no valid code received.
press fob button, recheck again, valid code received. this says to me, the fob is working and the receiver is working and sending the code to the becm which stores it in memory.
nanocom is able to lock/unlock the doors, the key blade in the drivers door locks/unlocks all the doors and both drivers/passenger button locks/unlocks all the doors.
I'm confused :(

SOLVED!
not sure if i was doing something wrong, but tried re-syncing the fob AGAIN, got halfway thru the process and the door locks energised.

weird. I don't believe it to be a microswitch issue in this case

:):):):):) Great.

So do we put this 1 down to operator error:D:eek:

J
possibly, but I'm not sure if i tried the manual method since i cleared the RF memory, if that makes a difference.
I'm also unclear why the key didnt re-sync via the passive coil in the ignition as it should do (according to the book)
I wonder if the coil is inoperative as a byproduct of turning off engine immobilisation via nanocom?

For a while, I've had to press the unlock button before the lock button would do anything, now neither button does anything! The red light flashes but that is all.
Central locking works and operates on all doors. The antenna is plugged in to the receiver so the passive coil should talk, can't see any dud fuses. Any ideas?
I had previously disabled engine immobilizer so i can still drive!
You cannot disable the engine immobiliser. Only the passive immobiliser can be disabled.

If the fob is working and the RF is getting a correct signal (read at the BECM or RF ? ) then why is it not outputting signal to the CDL.

So maybe some investigation into connections further along the line. from BECM to CDL.

Does Nano have a function that you can operate the CDL ? (that's a question) as I would think that would pulse through the BECM.

All just question/ideas as I don't have Nano.

J

You can trigger the locks with the Nanocom.

One of my keys would never sync unless the other key had been synced first and opened the car. Then it would sync. Cleared RF memory and both would sync from scratch. Sounds like this might have been similar.
