For a while, I've had to press the unlock button before the lock button would do anything, now neither button does anything! The red light flashes but that is all.
Central locking works and operates on all doors. The antenna is plugged in to the receiver so the passive coil should talk, can't see any dud fuses. Any ideas?
I had previously disabled engine immobilizer so i can still drive!

Key fob lost sync?

I was worried about clearing the rf memory incase it all went tiddles up!!
What does it do? Clears what from the memory?
i've done this before, also outstation memory when i had an eSeat fault code - seat works fine but the current fault said it wasn't working at all. fault went away!

my understanding, might be wrong, clearing RF memory 'forgets' which fobs have been used

But you don't have to reprogram the fobs into the car again? Essentially the memory is just to remember faults and is not used to remember the fob signatures?
Dumb questions, sorry.

Read RF memory: This will confirm if the BECM has received a valid radio frequency (RF)
transmission since it was reset with the clear RF memory function. Although a key fob
may transmit it may not be sending the same Fob code as that stored in the BECM. This
test confirms that the correct fob signal has been received.

If the fob is working and the RF is getting a correct signal (read at the BECM or RF ? ) then why is it not outputting signal to the CDL.

So maybe some investigation into connections further along the line. from BECM to CDL.

Does Nano have a function that you can operate the CDL ? (that's a question) as I would think that would pulse through the BECM.

All just question/ideas as I don't have Nano.

As far as I know, the memory holds the most recent rolling codes the security system has seen from the fobs. I have had many instances where one (or other) of my two fobs has stopped working (kept in a drawer and not used often) stops working, or rather the fob works but its rolling codes are out of the acceptable "range" the security system will recognise. Clearing the RF memory has ALWAYS brought BOTH fobs back into operation.

Is CDL an ECU? Where would I find it?
It's not worked in several locations, so unless the p38 is the source of interference then this is ruled out
