Series 2 Diesel Injector Clean

Newby to the 2.25L diesel, can I use Comma diesel magic and the like in this engine?
When cold mine goes 1,2,3 white puff. When warm is OK.

You can use Diesel Magic, and it sometimes helps, and is cheap.
Look at valve guide seals, valve guides on the smoking cylinder or cylinders, and set the tappets. If not, take the head off and examine head gasket, pistons, bores, etc. Might also be worth checking injector break pressures and spray form.
Only use a quality composite head gasket on re-assembly.

As above check the pop off pressures. Aim for 130 bar, If you take the head off carefully check for loose hotspots, I've had the 1 2 3 puff prior to a hotspot dropping and punching through the head gasket and damaging the block/scrapping the cylinder head. Sorry to be negative but this does happen.

I took mine out and dropped them in a jam jar of carb cleaner for a few days. Quick scrub with the wifes toothbrush and they seem fine.

That's how we cleaned our Disco injectors a few years back, used one of the kids toothbrushes as Bobs missus had hid hers ...

I'd run a tank or 2 through with the cleaner, see if it does the trick, then decide.
