ERG Cooler & Valve leaking £££

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has had experience with changing the ERG cooler on a Freelander 2 SD4? I've got a leak on the cooler and ERG valve apparently. I've been told a replacement part is only available via Landrover and costs over £450. Any advice is appreciated so i can try and save some money (especially with Christmas around the corner) Thanks all.

What are your symptoms that is suggesting you need to have EGR cooler and an EGR, I know you say a leak but in what form ?

Coolant leak unfortunately. After topping up the light comes on after a day. The mechanic seems trustworthy but thinks the Egr cooler is only available from Land rover. He says there is a leak on valve and cooler. Cheers

On the Freelander 1 - simple way is to bypass EGR and bypass coller which is then not required.

Someone must have done this on a F2 ?? Is it as simple?
For 450 quid it is worth a try !
