2005 L322 TD6 Auto. I've tried various diagnostic computers, they all power up but they will not recognise the range rover at all. I decided to buy an icarsoft lr2. It will recognise some modules, but will not recognise the engine, gearbox etc (allthough it does recognise the transfer box). The climate control module is recognised among other things, and shows correct live data. I'm also unable to do a generic obd scan.

Not sure if this is related to the obd fault, but the range rover kept cutting out suddenly, and would only start after being left for 30 seconds or so. It's not a fuel related problem, there wasn't any spluttering and it didn't struggle to start after the 30 seconds. Still getting fuel through so I assume it's an electrical issue. Cut out the other day and will not start at all now. Just turns over.

Hi, i've tried both. It's only reading 18 out of 30 during the auto scan
Hi all. I'm having the same problems with my icarsoft lr v 2 just not seeing the car, it doesn't matter if I do a manual scan or auto scan. It goes through all 30 checks then comes up as a "Link Error". I can connect my Autel generic scanner and it will see the engine ECU OK. Am I correct in thinking the generic scanner connects via the D bus? I contacted the tech department at icarsoft to ask if it needs to connect via the IKE module but theyou assure me it doesn't. Sorry should have mentioned my vehicle is a 2002 range rover td6 with the front suspension sitting on the bump stops. Suspecting the might be a problem with either the connector lead or software on the icarsoft I connected it to a 2016 Discovery, it worked perfectly !!
So it's got to be my car. I've checked the eobd port and associated wiring which is all OK, is it now a matter of working through the modules and disconnecting them one at a time incase one is locked up ?
The car was working perfectly until the suspension fault. Any ideas or guidance would be much appreciated.
