My 85 90 is the same as that one.
No mention of the chassis and at that age it will need a close inspection but the rest looks pretty good.
Get it cheap, fit a new galvanised chassis and it will last forever.:)

Well I never.
I wonder what bright spark decided painted capping would be better than galvanised.
Probably saved LR a few quid and the rest of us are still paying.

My 1987 has those doors and cappings fitted (by previous owner) and I think they look superb :D

Mine's a '88(E) reg built for export in 85(C); lift up door handles were used on 90/110s from 1983-1987 then push-button handles. I think LuH are better looking and less prone to being smashed off. The capping are thankfully galvanised and painted.

Both those have series doors fitted, they are not factory.
The pick up is series doors, but the hard top are the best doors land rover ever made. Full ali top meant none of the series rusting problems. They were factory fit on the early 110's (not sure about 90's) and remained factory fit on the military ones until the end of their production.

The OP wanted to know if they are standard and i honestly can't answer. Mine has them, but it also has a 200tdi, a cat flap rear and disc brakes all round. None of which was standard in 1987...
This is what makes ownership special. I have to research to get the correct part!!

Normally lift up handles & wind up windows are early 90/110.

If the galv capping looks stuck on its original.bugger to remove & replace.

Series/split doors the capping goes over the doors where they split

And to add to the mix I once came across a 2a with one piece doors! They were on Canadian export models but one ended up here in west Wales.
The best doors were series one's. All galven frame.

Indeed Phil, my doors are split with sliding windows. Afaik they are non original to my model. The tub too has been replaced. I think the PO wanted a series 3 and tried to make this look like one... :) I love it

The very first 110's did not have wind up windows, the had split doors the ali sliding tops (below) which were later carried on in military usage and can be differentiated from series door tops by the angled glass centre line, and the fact both peices of glass slide. If it was a station wagon the rear door ali top is now worth an obscene amount of money and is incredibly difficult to find.
I do not know when these changed to wind up windows, and do not know if 90's were ever fitted with split doors as they came out after the 110 and by then the switch to wind up windows ma have been made.
