Hubby surprised me last week by booking the pair of us on an off roading course way down in Devon, suppose its his idea of a dirty weekend. A good idea since he bought the Land Rover and because I've never been in a 4X4 let alone driven across a field (yes, I know I have had a sad sheltered life) some swift advice would not go amiss. After a full day of trundling about in the mucky stuff, some off my wise instructors words must of paid off, because now any steep hill now is given a ratio of hight and instructions of what gear I should be in to get up it! Bloody good fun:)

Sounds like you had fun.....

Are you coming to LZ13? we are going to do a little greenlaning.

If you do go and play unsupervised on a pay and play ( greenlaning is better and safer with a small group )..But if you are driving offroad, never forget the maxim, to get out and check first if in any doubt on hills , wading , unseen hazards.

Good luck and enjoy. I suspect many a dirt weekend to come in your future.

Cheers

LZ13, yep if I can, the shopping list for parts is getting longer! at the moment we are still systematically going through our landy, but Greenlaning is certainly on the cards, who knows might even meet up with you and share a packet a jelly babies with you.
