Perky N/A

Hello,

Just though I'd let y'all know that my 2.5 N/A is running sweet as a nut and quite perky at the moment I think that I'd also consider having it reconditioned and fitted to a new chassis in the future should I need a newer body. I managed to hit 60 up a fairly long stretch of hill and almost caught a disco Not bad me thinks

it was 60 up hill (a steady 2 mile climb up the chevin from otley)

it must have bin cryin for a 6th gear eh.
drive it like that all the time and perky will be left in a puddle of oil on yer drive one mornin.

I didn't have my foot right down and it wasn't screaming neither. Suppose the car in front will have helped a bit but I haven't managed to get it up there at that speed again.

i can get 75mph out of mine, bit scary on the steering though ! and very little to go wrong, love my n/a ,shame she has to go

Mine will pull 75mph strong up a hill and has room for a lot more on the flat...

Your N/A does 75 up a hill and can go faster! How long does it take to wind that up?

Indicated or actual?

GPS speed, and I know rougly how much the speedo is out per 10mpg indicated.

Not long, its a good un...

mine doesn't some days its really good other days not so, lettig it warm up is really the secret to mine and aviod really steep hills.

Ha! either that, or not much of a hill, (bumper caught on the lorry in front?) lost count of the times i have passed a lorry prior to a hill, only to find him pass me halfway up!

Most 2.5N/A engines have now done a fair mileage and are in need of overhaul, so by this stage most of them have been hammered. Mine on the other hand has only done 30K.

Yeah,that must help! good engines tho,just a bit slow on the motorways,
still hankering after tdi 200 transplant in future.

Ask him what he uses for fuel .....
