Cracked front bumper - Drifter's Stitch

So, finally got around to closing up the crack in the front bumper via something I found out about on youtube - a Drifter's Stitch. A bit more permanent than duct tape & a lot less expensive than plastic welding (I don't have a plastic welding kit). I don't have any rivets for my pop riveter either!

Dunno if I'd stick it on my truck in red but I do have a couple of jobs where that could be handy.
Got a cracked headlight surround that I may give ago, worst comes to worse it's no good to me anyway
Dunno if the plastic might be too brittle. Every time I do a big splash the water cracks it some more....

Trillo - I just wanted it to stand out, hence the red tie wraps (zip ties)

Let us know how it goes with the headlight surround.

Still thinking the plastic may be too brittle, but it's not much good to me now and if I don't try, I won't know

Decided not to go ahead with it, as the crack was too near the indicator and I'd have had to drill through the lens. Instead repaired it with RTV

Its a good trick and surprisingly solid. Done similar before to repair an undertray. I like it in red
