Hi all, been reading with great interest the posts on here about EVERYTHING :welcome: to a brill site..

Im after some dimensions of the spotlight brackets if possible please as I need to get 4 sets and since i'm a WELDER and Fabricator by trade Im going to manufacture them myself, saving me and hopefully you guys a few quid if I can get the measurements sorted.

Ill happily draw up the plans in CAD form if someone wants them afterwards to make their own and Ill be taking photo's to post of my handiwork, just incase some of you would like to buy a set at a vastly reduced price from what I have seen them advertised for .
(I don't pay for materials, just don't tell the boss.....Bummer, she happens to be my wife so nothing will escape her) LOL.

Keep up the great work and Ill be more than happy to contribute as I feel able to, as I have just completed a clutch and IRD box change.

Also converted Elle to a commercial, professionally done. COOL looking.

Thanks Darren

What model are wanting spotlight brackets for? There are ones commercially available for pre facelift Freelanders but as far as I have found not for facelift ones and from what I have found out the ones for pre facelift won't fit the facelift ones, different bumper and grill set up etc

If you're wanting them for pre facelift then these are the ones available

Land Rover Freelander Spotlight Brackets

Hopefully someone will have some and give you the dimensions that you need to fab some.

If you want them for a facelift one then I don't think I've seen any and you might have to design them yourself.

Got some led spots that I fancy fitting to mine (facelift)!!

Cheers
Tim.

Has anyone tried out these new LED light bars that are cropping up? I was toying with fitting one but would quite like it to be fairly streamlined with the front of the car. Are there any issues legally with taking a dremel to the front plastic part of the bumper so it sits flush and mounts to the front reinforcement bar that the other light brackets fit onto?

Not as far as I'm aware. I'm a qualified MOT TESTER and as long as no sharp edges are proud. I'm interested in these to and have a spare bumper I can play with with a dremmel and a hacksaw lol. Any chance of seeing a photo of these light bars please as I've not seen them.
My freelander is going to be used for rapid response accident recovery support so I need lots of flashing strobe orange lights and spot lights for lighting the working area.

The light bars are awsome!! Its brilliant how much light they give off. If you're being picky the range isn't quite as good as decent halogens but in reality it doesn't matter a toss. I have a 36 inch one mounted halfway back on the roof otherwise you get a lot of glare on the bonnet

Why not go for one of these: https://www.ledlightsforsale.co.uk/work-lamps-driving-%20led%20lamps/bars/72-watt-super-slim-single-row-led-light-bar.html

They are slim enough to fit into the slot of the front bumper, or behind the lower mesh grille with no cutting required, and they are bloody bright. Looking at taking my two 27W leds off the front for one of those bars now.
