As I live in South Africa, it's a bit far (maybe not?) to drive to Bell. I want to buy a new VCU (with bearings) from an online Landy shop in UK, and have them delivered to me here in sunny South Africa. :cool2:

After reading and searching this forum, it seems the consensus that GKN is the best brand to get? I'm slightly confused by the "OEM", "OE", "LR" labels, and also that crap brands like Britpart seem to distribute "LR" stuff very cheaply. PLEASE would you UK folks advise me on where to order the best new VCU (with best bearings). I've seen these websites:

Viscous Coupling - Freelander 1 - Land Rover Part TOR000010

Viscous Coupling and Bearings (GKN) TOR000010G x1 TOQ000040G x2 Island 4x4 - Specialists in Land Rover and Range Rover Parts and accessories for all models. UK and worldwide mail order.

Is Hardy Spicer as good as GKN?

Are the FAG bearings the best, and if buying vcu/bearings as a package, does that mean I have to get GKN?

Any links to the best online shop MUCH APPRECIATED ...

(I have a 2005 TD4, 130,000km)
