Considering the problem with stolen Landrovers, especially in South Yorkshire where I live where do you leave your landy overnight. Is the fact that most domestic garages are too small to get a defender in a factor?

On the drive - sandwiched in my 2 other vehicles and behind electric gates!

Landy is too tall for the garage, even if there wasn't so much other stuff already in the garage in the first place:p

Mine is on the drive parked next to my wifes new Volvo. I look out to make sure my landy is still there every so often and make sure she is still good. I could care less about the wifs car.

get over to Landywatch......lots of info about it all. But if i had a landrover in the north east /west i'd be worried....or asleep in the chain with the multishot :fighting:

Mine is parked next to the future wife's Nissan Note.....but my works van is parked across the pair to block them both on the drive way.... I have a steering lock amd a CAT 2 Imob, and like others have posted .... I look out the window so ofter the good lady keeps thinking I have more love for my 90 than her......women are sometime right you know!! lol... actually I have to confess she is a good woman she never questions the time I spend with the Landy or the money as she said "I'd rather see you out playing and happy rather than spedning all your time and money down the pub, then there would be trouble" so I guess I'm quite lucky - Happy days :O)

In my garage along with a zillion motorbikes while my 4 month old 998 sits on the drive (along with the other cars)....... :)

You can never be to carefull...... :)

I got some mates around, we lifted the roof off the garage, put in a few extra bricks and put the roof back on - now the 90 fits in the garage!

Mines parked outside the house, usually with the keys in the ign. If any thief can get past my two Jack Russells, they diserve it and all the problems that go with it!
Car theft is thankfully very rare here especialy defenders which are also quite rare so easy noticed.

On my drive, boxed in by cars, rubbish, spare parts, tractor trailer etc

I have taken a 'Home Alone' style of security - ie anyone would think the landy is boobytrapped..

1..Make your way over the piles of clay that have fallen from underneath the landy since the last off roading.

2..The alarm will almost certainly sound, whether set or not, this is on a random function that wakes every dog in the village. Clciking or unclicking the fob has no effect.

3..Next..open the doors, a gush of water will now emit over your feet, this may wash some of the clay away.

4..Start her up (waiting at least 8 seconds after the glow plug lights have gone out or there will be trouble..) The ensuing clouds of smoke will mean that you must wait for it to settle before starting off.

5..The second audible alarm goes off, this is probably from either the fan belt or the power steering, a high pitched squeal that sounds like foxes going at it.

my s3 is currently on the previous owners drive on axle stands. a mate of mine has a motorsport camera in his that records to a magic eye modem in his house on a 23 hour loop. clever idea

On my drive, behind a heavy duty security post, blocked in normally by the wifes car. Fitted with a removable steeiring wheel, and pedal lock. And Ive got cameras focused on it that I can view anytime online via my mobile phone....
