Ive had a disaster fitting a new fuel lift pump to a 300tdi. I fitted the new pump to the block, fitted the hoses using new nuts and olives (no martini though). Started the engine and everything seemed fine. Took it on a test drive, still lovely......... Got back, did a final check for leaks...

I'm assuming that you still have the black rubber dust cap in the centre of the wheel? I lost one of mine last year and it made a bit of a flicky mess. There was a little oily "wetness" where it should have been, but nothing that seemed serious. I replaced the dust cap and it was fine.

Does any one know if you can get roof bars for a Defender 90 that wont cost a fortune? I only want something I can quickly put on every now and then when I need them. I dont want an expedition type affair on top, cos I would have to take it off every time I go to the local...
