I'm presuming the fuel is being delivered as once it's running it'll run fine no problem and revs up and drives fine.
If air was getting in wouldn't it run lumpy?
the fuel lift pump was off my other motor so I know it's a good one.

this one is starting to annoy me now....
200tdi auto.
just turns over and over but won't start.
Spray some easy start in the air filter and it starts and runs no problem.
I've changed the fuel lift pump so know it's not that so what else could it be??

managed to get it off, the bolt to the sump wasn't too bad but ended up cutting the bracket off to the bellhousing as could not get it undone.
it had snapped just above the bracket (sounds like a weak spot) so welded it back together and now back on.

my dipstick tube has snapped on my 200 auto disco, about half way down.
Where does the other end go and how is it attached?
I want to remove it so I can either replace or repair (although can't seem to find a new one advertised anywhere???)
any help much appreciated

I've got a 1995 range rover classic which used to be a 3dr discovery so has the Discovery 300tdi wiring loom in it.
My sunroof wasn't parking in the correct place so had the motor out to adjust it, when it slipped and earthed/sparked against the back of the...

as above the disco has the exact same chassis/wheelbase and bolted up using the exact same holes.
the V5 does say it is diesel and is registered as a Range Rover Hybrid.
Having done most of the work alongside Jon i would be confident enough to drive this through the amazon and back :cool2...
