Self-resolved. Take care when buying pattern parts. Unit supplied was sent out from the factory 90 degrees out of phase. Or, as we say in our house - set up to fail immediately.

Hi guys, I’ve had an epic fail with the front prop shaft. I knew it needed some love, but work didn’t permit. Well, it broke. Bought a replacement- pattern part and fitted it. It sounds awful- like a bag of spanners. Is it incorrectly phased? I didn’t change spline alignment from out of the box...

Eh up, got a lower ball joint to replace, got her stripped down but can’t get the old one out with any amount of ignorant force, penetrating fluid or heat. Anyone in the Bristol area have a ball joint press? Thanks for looking! Matt.

Chris, I had a coolant leak in mine and once the levels got low the heater stopped blowing hot but the gauges read nominal. Worth a look before calling the coastguard . Matt

Again, many thanks. Have located a replacement for a tenner. So shall dispense with testing. Says in the book of lies and inadequate photography that steering wheel retaining nut needs to be discarded and replaced. Any idea why this might be the case?

Thanks for that. I have a Haynes book of lies and inadequate photography which has no help on this. Tinterweb has em for sale. Any advice on fault finding before replacement?
