Locking axle diffs - which ones for me?

Cheers, thanks! I've got better tyres for winter I'll fit after this weird heatwave, then call in my debts so I can afford the things :)

Locking axle diffs - which ones for me?

Hi ya'll! Got a 110 pickup from 1993 which I use for work. I do lots of road driving, but I'm often in the woods dragging large loads and heavy trailers up muddy hills and over bumpy bits, and drag trees around, etc etc. It would be so nice if my diffs locked up at appropriate times so I...

Pembrokeshire to Nottingham, N. Yorks and back tomorrow.

I'm going by pickup empty to Nottingham from Pembrokeshire tomorrow, Monday, and on to Scarborough on Tuesday. Back from Scarborough to Wales on Tuesday p.m., but with a large trailer, though I'll have a little room. Won't relish any sort of big detour or urban driving on the way back as the...

    Jackual's 200TDi turbo rebuild guide

Also says in the book to be sure to fill the unit with engine oil through the pipe union at the top before starting the engine. Starting a dry one could be disasrerous. Thanks for tyhe advice, though!

    stuck

Sounds like the drive pinion got stuck in the engaged position; if the solenoid stuck then your battery would have died within a couple of minutes or so. This happened to me with a County Tractor once, motor got very hot, but fortunately I noticed within half an hour, and all credit to the...

+2" Rear shock mounts- how come they're wrong?

My rear shocks were leaking on my +2" lifted pickup. I bought new ones, got that bit right. But the upper mounting is at the wrong angle and the new ones won't go in. The old shocks had more forgiving rubber bushes and sort of fitted. Question is: Are the upper mounts the same for 2" lift as...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Looked at my dislocated driver's side window, went to get a screwdriver, got distracted by a beer, drank it, lit my fire, then it got dark. There's usually tomorrow....

this would be an awesome defender 6x6

Turning circle as big as the M25. Not good under trees. Back tyre wear hell, I suspect. For a vehicle this big better off with an actual 4x4 truck. BT must sometimes sell off these things.

Anyone with genuine 200tdi look at their pas pump for me

Mine's original, I think, at 157000 miles and absolutely no play in it.... I can see that it could be the mounting bolts to blame.

Leaking fuel guage sender - need a complete new assembly?

thanks for the reply I should have specified 110 as sender comes out of the side, awkwardly near chassis. Also, pictures I have found are not quite clear enough!

Leaking fuel guage sender - need a complete new assembly?

My 1992 200Tdi is leaking diesel out of the plastic tube on the sender unit beyond the two fuel pipe nuts i.e. not from the connection, but it seems from the plastic pipe itself next to the fuel tank. The leak is slow, but needs seeing to. I don't want to take the unit off until I know I can...

    Hi peeps from West Wales

Here I am with a new vehicle to replace my trusty rusty Transit 4x4 R.I.P. There was enough flakes of rust fell off my transit and onto our farm track to effectively resurface it. So I phoned a great guy in Wiltshire and bought his lovverley hi-cap, well looked after, and entered a world with...
