No they will stay on but you will be able to tell for definate if the ABS is working or not, this will help identify the problem

Please do, one thing to do before hand just out of interest, find some mud and try your abs and traction control.

Just done it myself, land rover won't supply just the abs sensor, but they are available. Make sure you clean the area thoroughly before taking out the sensor. It's quite hard to fit the sensor back through the gap in the hub housing but it does go with a bit of persuasion. I was told by...
